Lord, let me know myself and know You.
Let me desire nothing but You.
Let me love You more than myself.
Let me do everything for You.
Let me humble myself and glorify You.
Let me think of nothing but You.
Let me die to myself and live in You.
Let me accept everything in my life as coming from You.
Let me abandon myself and follow You.
Let me flee from myself and seek refuge in You.
Let me fear You and be among those You have chosen.
Let me not trust myself but place my trust in You.
Let me be willing to obey You.
Let me not cling to anything except You.
Let me be poor for You.
Look upon me, for I love You.

The Importance of Prayer in Our Lives
Prayer brings us into God’s presence.
The beauty of prayer lies in encountering God, saying to Him, “To You, I rise early; my soul thirsts for You, and my body longs for You.”
Prayer transforms my life
As Paul the Apostle says:
“Beholding the glory of the Lord with an unveiled face, we are transformed from glory to glory.”
Prayer moves the mighty hand of God
When we face difficulties, we trust in God’s promise:
“This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him and delivered him from all his troubles.”
Prayer opens the heart for God to enter
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you.”
Accepted prayer comes from a pure heart
As Scripture says:
“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
“For I will restore health to you and heal your wounds,” says the Lord. (Jeremiah 30:17)
- God deeply cares about your heart, emotions, and mental well-being.
- Stay calm, don’t exhaust your heart, and don’t live in a burdened state—this is the enemy’s goal.
Controlling Your Emotions
Emotions are a person’s first adversary. Shake off feelings that harm your heart, such as sadness, anger, frustration, and despair.
“Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.” (Colossians 3:14–15)
God desires His peace to control your heart:
“My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes delight in my ways.” (Proverbs 23:26)
The enemy seeks to break your heart through bitterness, anger, shame, and worldly passions. He uses lies to steal your sanctity, but Scripture warns:
“In order that Satan might not outwit us, for we are not unaware of his schemes.” (2 Corinthians 2:11)
Healing Through the Word
- The enemy wants you to suffer and lose your joy and peace. But God desires the opposite—He wants to free you from burdens.
- Wash your heart with the Word of God, which cleanses and restores.
- Remember, your God is an all-consuming fire, eager to break your chains, destroy your burdens, and give you a new heart.
“The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but a broken spirit—who can bear?” (Proverbs 18:14)
God promises:
“I will break his yoke from your neck, tear your bonds, and no longer will foreigners enslave you. Instead, they will serve the Lord their God, and they will return and rest securely, with no one to disturb them. For I am with you to save you,” says the Lord. (Jeremiah 30:8–11)
St. Stephen: The First Martyr and a Faithful Servant
The Apostle Luke recounts the life of St. Stephen, the righteous deacon and first martyr, in Acts 6 and 7. He was chosen among seven deacons to serve the widows.

Through his service to widows and the needy, Stephen became a living sermon, reflecting Christ without needing a pulpit.

- دعني أعرف نفسي وأعرفك.
- دعني لا أرغب في شيء إلا أنت.
- دعني أحبك أكثر من نفسي.
- دعني أفعل كل شيء من أجلك.
- دعني أتواضع وأعظمك.
- دعني لا أفكر في شيء غيرك.
- دعني أموت عن نفسي وأعيش فيك.
- دعني أقبل ما يحدث في حياتي على أنه منك.
- دعني أطرد نفسي وأتبعك.
- دعني أهرب من نفسي وألجأ إليك.
- دعني أخافك، وأكون من بين الذين تختارهم.

٣. أهمية الصلاة في حياتنا
- الصلاة تقودنا إلى محضر الله:
من روعة الصلاة هي اللقاء مع الله، حيث نقول له: “إليك أبكر، عطشت إليك نفسي، يشتاق إليك جسدي”. - الصلاة تغيّر حياتي:
يقول بولس الرسول: “ناظرين مجد الرب بوجه مكشوف ونتغير من مجد إلى مجد”. - الصلاة تحرّك يد الله القديرة:
عندما تواجهنا صعوبات، نثق بوعد الله: “هذا المسكين والرب استمعه ومن كل ضيقاته خلصه”. - الصلاة تفتح القلب لله ليدخل:
“أعطيكم قلباً جديداً وأجعل روحاً جديداً في داخلكم”. - الصلاة المقبولة تصدر من قلب نقي:
يقول الكتاب: “طلبة البار تقتدر كثيراً في فعلها”.
٤. شفاء القلب والمشاعر
- اهتمام الله بالقلب والمشاعر:
لأَنِّي أَرْفُدُكِ وَأَشْفِيكِ مِنْ جُرُوحِكِ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ. (إرميا ٣٠: ١٧)- احرصوا أن تكونوا هادئين.
- لا تُجهد قلبك، ولا تعيش بنفسيّة متعبة.
- التحكم في المشاعر:
المشاعر هي العدو الأول للإنسان، مثل الحزن والغضب والإحباط واليأس.
“البسوا المحبة التي هي رباط الكمال. وليملك في قلوبكم سلام الله”. (كو ٣: ١٤-١٥) - قلبك هو ما يهم الله:
“يا ابني أعطني قلبك، ولتلاحظ عيناك طرقي”. (أم ٢٣: ٢٦) - غسل القلب بالكلمة:
“الكلمة تغسل قلبك وتحرّره من الفساد الذي في العالم”.
٥. وعود الله بتحرير النفس
- “أَكْسِرُ نِيرَهُ عَنْ عُنُقِكَ، وَأَقْطَعُ رُبُطَكَ”. (إرميا ٣٠: ٨-١١)
- الرب يعد بتجديد قلبك وطمأنة روحك: “روح الإنسان تحتمل مرضه، أما الروح المكسورة فمن يحملها؟”. (أم ١٨: ١٤)
٦. شخصية القديس استفانوس
- استفانوس الخادم الأمين:
- اختير لتوزيع احتياجات إخوة الرب، ورغم أنه كان رجلاً مملوءاً بالإيمان والروح القدس، قام بهذه الخدمة بكل أمانة.
- “وَكَانَ مَمْلُوءاً إِيمَاناً وَقُوَّةً وَكَانَ يَصْنَعُ عَجَائِبَ وَآيَاتٍ عَظِيمَةً فِي الشَّعْبِ”.
- استفانوس الشاهد القوي:
خدمته كانت شهادة حيّة للرب يسوع من خلال خدمته للأرامل والمساكين. - استفانوس أول الشهداء:
قدم شهادة قوية أمام المجمع، وكان أول من قدّم حياته شهادةً للمسيح.
