Yes it does say you should not make any tattoos on your body. But why do we make the sign of the cross? In the ancient time, they used to take those who made the sign of the cross, kill them and take their children and raise them up as idol worshipers. But our fathers were smart, they told those who are Christians to tattoo their children with a cross to make sure that the child does not become an idol worshiper in the case they are taken away from the parents and to be known that they were raised in a Christian family. According the old testament, yes tattoos are not allowed. Keep in mind that the Lord created humans beautiful in their natural bodies without tattoos. If God wanted you to have tattoos he would have given them to you at birth but he does not. The person who is not satisfied with himself and how they look, no matter what they do they will not be satisfied with how they look. If the inner person is full of the love of Christ within them and he loves God, all of this will be very easy to them.
